In evacuation shelters during disasters, the reality is that many evacuees have to spend their time on the floor. Also, there are many shelters where only cardboard beds are provided, so evacuees often have to bring their own mattresses or other bedding.

Focusing on this issue, we have been developing beds for 10 years since 2016.

TOMCOT supports the body at about 40 cm off the floor, and is designed to be less affected by cold air and dust. It is also designed to be compactly stored when not in use.

Furthermore, it adopts a unique structure using telescopic components, and obtained a patent in Japan in August 2024.

Menphyth is working to improve the sleep and rest environment in shelters by treating TOMCOT as one of the disaster prevention products.
